Philosophy of Ministry
Living Faith Ministries is non-denominational by designation, but all-denominations by practice. All are invited, none are excluded. From our founding, we are an open door, where any and all can worship the Lord in spirit and truth.
Statement of Faith
We recognize and worship the Holy Trinity – God, the Father; God, the Son; and God, the Holy Spirit. All are lost in sin until they make the personal decision to receive Jesus Christ as their Savior-they then, as a born-again Christian begin the walk of faith which they continue until Jesus comes or they are called to Heaven. It is by faith, that we’re saved, it’s by faith, we grow into “spiritual adults”, loving Jesus and our neighbors (saved & unsaved) along the way. When we receive Jesus, we are adopted into the Family of God; He is our Father, all other Christians are our brothers & sisters!

Tex Deaton
Tex Deaton was born again June 19, 1968 after watching the Billy Graham Crusade on TV. He began to sing in a quartet for about two years and then surrendered to God’s call to preach the gospel. He immediately enrolled in John Wesley Bible College and graduated with a BA in Biblical Studies.
Tex was married to his loving, faithful and supportive wife, Mary, of 58 years before she went home to be with the Lord in 2019. They are blessed with two children, a daughter and son along with two grandchildren.
Tex served with the Evangelical Methodist Church for 15 years and in August of 1983 he responded to the call to establish Living Faith Ministries here in Raeford, NC as a non-denominational church. During his time here, he has established ministry in the VA facility, local hospitals and an evangelistic ministry in Jamaica over the course of six years. He is dedicated to evangelistic ministry and the saving of souls.
Preaching is his number one passion. Tex also loves to express his faith through the beautiful practice of signing praises in the form of hymns and choruses. Tex has been blessed with the heart of a shepherd and has love for all. He would love to meet you and welcome you to Living Faith Ministries, but most importantly, introduce you to Jesus Christ

What type of church is Living Faith Ministries?
Living Faith Ministries is a non-denominational , full gospel church. We were assembled by and through the blessings of God to be a meeting place for ALL PEOPLE to gather together in Jesus’ name, to worship as the Holy Spirit wills, without limitations or man-made restrictions.
The Bible says, and we believe, that by faith, if a person confesses his or her sins, the blood of Jesus will cleanse and make him or her anew, then, Sanctification and Baptism in the Holy Spirit, for the committed Christian, gives power and confidence to bring deliverance from all the attacks of our enemy, Satan.

Would I be welcome at Living Faith Ministries?
All are welcome. We are a racially diverse church, reflecting the saints in Heaven. We are small in number, but we have good people that love the Lord. There are no “losers” at Living Faith Ministries, we are all winners in Christ!
What is a service like at Living Faith Ministries?
We are loving and friendly, not stuck-up. We dress mostly casual. You’re welcome to wear a suit or overalls, just not your birthday suit. We practice greeting each other with a “Good morning brother or sister”. We begin worship by singing hymns and choruses, we share testimonies, everyone is welcome to bring a word or testimony, the offering is received, then we continue into the Bible-based sermon and conclude with an Altar Call. From start to finish, we invite and welcome God, the Holy Spirit, to exalt Jesus. We leave praising God and rejoicing to have been in God’s presence today!
What is life like at Living Faith Ministries?
In church or outside, we live and exalt Christ in our walk, talk, and business. We conduct our life in a way that presents and pleases God, the Father and our Savior, Jesus.
